Nita Vera (b. 1986) is a visual artist of Chilean and Finnish descent, graduate from the Royal Academy of Art in The Hague, currently doing her master studies at the Aalto University, School of Art, Design and Architecture. Her subject matter deals with questions around the human condition and relationships. Approaching photography from a fictional autobiographical perspective, she explores such subjects as family relationships and the lightness of our modern liquid era, as well as the relation between fiction and reality. In the project What Love Weighs, she visualises the dynamics of family relationships by photographing her own family. Through small details Vera narrates fragments of the complexity of human relationships.
