Suns and Stars accommodates exhibitions at places of cultural and historical value. We fluidly move around the drastically shifting art world, looking for new and open spaces. It is vital to engage others in this process of development, so we reach out to individuals and organisations that operate beyond the field of the visual arts. These location inspired exhibitions raise awareness of both cultural heritage and contemporary art. Dutch artist Petra Noordkamp, presented at the fair, lives and works in Amsterdam. She takes photographs and makes short films in which she explores the influence of experiences, memories, movies and dreams on the perception of architecture and the urban environment. Her work has recently been exhibited at the Guggenheim Museum in New York, the Centre Pompidou in Paris and the MAXXI in Rome.
