Sewage System Observatory in Baroque Purple is a group exhibition that proceeds by implicating Wunderkammer traditions and the poetics of space. The exhibition continues to relate to apartment exhibitions and traditional working methods, which have been used by Moscow Conceptualists. These practices contain apartment seminars, uses of assemblage and situationism. Our goal is to create individual mythologies mixed with everyday aesthetics – baroque portals, artefacts, translation processes, illusionism and collector practices. The exhibition relates to urban living communities and is based on traditional texts from Hal Foster, Gaston Bachelard, Michel de Certeau and Hakim Bey.
